Location: Cleveland Heights, OH, 44118 Children: 5-month-old Compensation: $30-$35/hr Schedule: 34 guaranteed hrs/week, Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm with one day off per week. Description: An affectionate and close-knit family residing in Cleveland Heights, Ohio is on the lookout for an energetic and genuine nanny to care for their delightful 5-month-old son. Their son is happy, curious, social, and talkative. He loves being on his feet and is determined to stand on his own. He's making great progress with tummy time, rolling from front to back, and starting on soft solids. Playful and engaged, he enjoys time on his mats, being read to, going on walks, and listening to music. He does have GERD and is on medication, requiring him to be held upright after feedings. Parents will administer GERD medication. Since he is prone to spitting up, candidates should be comfortable with this and prepared for outfit changes. Mom and Dad practice a gentle, loving, and child-centered parenting approach valuing data-driven methods. They are seeking a true partner and someone who aligns with their parenting style serving as an extension of their family. As loving, silly, and highly engaged parents, they want a nanny who will prioritize nurturing and supporting their son in the same way. Both parents work from home in a dedicated office space. With 2 feline friends and a canine companion in the mix (she will not be home during working hours)- being pet-friendly is essential. This family is seeking a confident yet gentle nanny with infant experience and someone unfazed by crying or spit-ups and skilled in soothing and comforting. They highly value a caregiver well-versed in safe sleep practices and eating habits. Reliability, open and honest communication, and a collaborative mindset are essential, as they see their nanny as a co-parenting partner who will grow with their family. This family values a screen-free environment and encourages interactive, hands-on play. They're looking for a nanny who embraces this approach and engages their son through creative activities, outdoor adventures, and meaningful interactions. Mom and Dad prioritize exposing their son to diverse activities and environments, making their ideal candidate an active and creative individual. Beyond attending events, storytime, and children's exhibits tailored to his development, they hope for someone who will take the initiative to discover age-appropriate activities that spark his curiosity and sense of adventure well into his toddler years. This family is looking for a nanny who shares their commitment to creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive home. They value open-mindedness and would love a caregiver who is comfortable reading books to their son about different cultures, communities, accessibility, and diversity and has an openness to meaningful conversations. They plan to introduce their son to baby sign language and would love a nanny who can support that practice. Additionally, they hope to expose him to a second language, so bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply! As the family's dedicated nanny, your role will encompass creating a nurturing and engaging environment for children by planning fun, educational activities that are age-appropriate, managing various child-related household tasks such as tidying, organizing children's areas, children's laundry, ensuring cleanliness and tidiness in play areas and rooms, planning and preparing meals and snacks, preparing bottles for the child, washing/sterilizing bottles and/or breast pump parts, and child related transportation. Candidates will also assist with light housekeeping and tidying. Qualifications 3 years of professional childcare experience Experience working with infants High school diploma At least 21 years of age Valid driver's license Clean driving record Authorized to work in the U.S. Ability to pass a background check Reliable and insured vehicle Pet friendly Schedule Part-time, guaranteeing 34 hours per week. The general schedule will fall on Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm with one day off per week. The family is open to any day of the candidate's preference as long as it's consistent. Compensation The family is offering $30-$35/hour based upon 34 hours per week which equates to up to $1,020-$1,190/week, and an anticipated annual base income of $53k-$61k+/year. This position is paid legally, on a W-2, subject to regular deductions and withholdings as required by law. Benefits The family is providing a $200 monthly healthcare stipend, 10 days of paid time off, 3 paid sick days, paid federal and major holidays, and mileage reimbursement at the IRS rate for local on-the-job travel. Start Date This position will begin ASAP - Apply today! Additional Notes At this stage, we cannot provide any additional information about this position other than what has already been provided in the job description. Due to the high volume of candidates, we will only contact you if the family is interested in meeting you or if we need additional information.
