My 4-year-old is nonverbal autistic. He cannot form full sentences to tell you his needs. As long as he is fed, changed and entertained, he should be fine. He is not all the way potty trained. (He will not get up at night and use the bathroom; when he does use the bathroom during the day, he will not potty. So a pull up is worn all day/night).
