After School Care For One Child In Montgomery!

Wanted: Sitter with Disability Experience for 13-year-old in Montgomery, $18. 50/hr (paid through a waiver), After school (3:15-6:30 plus days off school if available) Details: We are looking for someone who can help us with our autistic son who was also born with Down syndrome. He loves reading, long walks, swinging, dancing, swimming, soft blankets, carbs, and just sitting with a fidget toy, being his best self. He is fairly easy going, but is not potty trained and he is largely non-verbal. After school is a mix of relaxing, taking him to a therapy appointment or two, going on walks, reading, working with him on becoming more independent, and helping him with dinner. We will be a team as I often work from home and love spending time with him when I can. Ideal candidate will have experience with children with disabilities (and willingness to learn more) & have a reliable car. Because my son is on a waiver, you would have to be hired by an agency , have a HS degree, & have training & background check. They will walk you through and make the process really easy. Bonus points if you can continue on into the summer or do multiple years, but this is not required.
