Location: Chagrin Falls, OH Children: 4-year-old & 22-month-old Compensation: $30-$32/hr Schedule: 36 guaranteed hrs/week, Mon from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Tues to Thurs from 10:30 AM to 5:30 PM & Friday from 10:30 AM to 3:30 PM Description: A warm and loving family in Chagrin Falls is seeking a confident, dependable, and experienced part-time nanny to care for their energetic 4-year-old and sweet 22-month-old boys. Their 4-year-old is funny, smart, and kind, with a love for animals, especially jungle animals like reptiles, and has a passion for reading. Outgoing and social, he surveys a room before jumping in but can make friends anywhere. He recently started tennis and basketball and enjoys spending time with friends. Their younger child, almost 2, is sweet, cuddly, and starting to talk a lot. He looks up to his older brother, sharing similar interests, and also loves Elmo, Mickey Mouse, and farm animals. Both boys are full of charm and curiosity! Mom and Dad have a loving and balanced parenting style that combines attentiveness and fun with structure and consistency. They prioritize setting clear rules and boundaries while giving their children the freedom to explore, express themselves, and develop their individuality. They aim for a middle ground in parenting, neither overly traditional nor too lenient, and value someone who is trustworthy, kind, warm, and reliable to align with their approach This family is seeking someone energetic, driven, and motivated, who can invest in the family and bring a slight understanding of Montessori principles. They value reliability, creativity, and trustworthiness, along with the ability to engage with the children in meaningful ways, such as reading and creative play. Experience as a substitute teacher or similar background is a plus, aligning with their preference for someone who can provide both structure and enrichment. As part of this role, you'll be responsible for fostering creativity and growth through interactive play, storytime, and sensory activities, planning engaging outdoor adventures, from park visits to backyard games, to encourage physical activity, inspiring a love for learning with crafts, imaginative play, and music-based activities and facilitating sibling bonding through group games and shared experiences. You'll also be responsible for all child-related tasks including planning engaging and age-appropriate activities, child-related transportation from school, preparing healthy meals and snacks, and tending to laundry. Additionally, you'll help with occasional errands such as writing grocery lists and maintaining organization. Qualifications 3 years of professional childcare experience Educational background preferred High school diploma At least 21 years of age Valid driver's license Reliable and insured vehicle Clean driving record Authorized to work in the U.S. Flu vaccine Schedule The schedule is part-time, guaranteeing 36 hours per week. The general hours are Monday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Tuesday through Thursday from 10:30 AM to 5:30 PM, and Friday from 10:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Compensation The family is offering $30-$32/hour based upon 36 guaranteed hours per week which equates to up to $1,080-$1,152/week, and an anticipated annual base income of $56k-$60k+/year. This position is paid legally, on a W-2, subject to regular deductions and withholdings as required by law. Benefits The family is open to providing a monthly healthcare stipend of $200, 10 days of paid vacation, 5 paid sick days, paid major holidays, and mileage reimbursement at the IRS standard rate for on-the-job travel.
