Qualified Staff will: -Be responsible for the guidance of his/her group at all times and keep records on each child's progress. -Attend scheduled staff meetings and parent meetings. -Acquire a minimum of 15 hours of approved professional training each year. -Work well with parents and other staff to provide the best possible care for children at the center. -Be responsible for the arrangement, maintenance, cleanliness, and security of the classroom and shared spaces, including toys and equipment. -Is ultimately responsible to the Director and PromiseLand Board for all that occurs in his/her classroom. -Participate in school fund-raisers as needed. -Be open-minded and able to work with many different personalities in a positive manner. -Model and demonstrate appropriate behavior and dress at all times. -Lovingly tend to the needs of the children in his/her care, encouraging their confidence and development. Healthychildren.org ) -Provide special activity concentrations: (See Developmental Milestones for 3 - 5 years olds. Healthychildren.org) -Ensure that confidentiality is primary in all dealings with children, parents, and co-workers. -Be familiar with and follow the Day Care OCFS licensing requirements. -Interact with the children in a variety of activities on the floor, at children's table, and outside side. Responsibilities include being able to lift a child from the floor and having free mobility of movement.
