These kind and professional parents are seeking a responsible, caring, and energetic family assistant to care for their two sons, who are almost 4 years old and 19 months. The family is open to hiring two separate providers-one for the morning shift and one for the afternoon-or one provider who is available for both shifts, for a total of 25-30+ hours per week, with the option to add a few additional hours per candidate preference. The family's ideal match will be someone who is exceptionally reliable, as both parents have demanding, professional careers. They look forward to working with a provider who is enthusiastic about engaging with the children, as well as efficiently supporting the family's home and daily routines. These loving parents describe their children as extroverted and curious, as well as enjoying the outdoors, reading, and making music! A candidate who is practiced in caring for multiple children with differing needs, setting kind but firm boundaries as needed, and who can encourage collaborative play between the siblings as they grow will be essential! The family values long-term relationships and is eager to find a caregiver who can grow with them over time.
For the morning shift, the family assistant will be responsible for getting both children ready for the day, preparing their school lunches, and taking them to their respective preschool and daycare, which are both nearby. Additional duties after drop off will include assisting with light household tasks such as cleanup, meal prep, and laundry.
For the afternoon shift, responsibilities include picking up the children from school and daycare and engaging in afterschool activities, trips to the playground, museum or library, as well as helping manage the early evening routine of dinner and bath-time. The family is looking for someone who can create a fun, structured, and nurturing environment as they transition from school to home.
The ideal candidate will be responsible, proactive, and able to manage both the children's needs and household tasks efficiently. Though not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who can provide exposure to a second language, such as Spanish or Hindi, and/or someone familiar with South Asian and vegetarian cooking! This is an excellent opportunity for a loving, energetic nanny to become part of a warm, engaged family for years to come.
Requirements:
2+ years of professional childcare experience
CPR/First aid certified
Safe and reliable vehicle
COVID Vaccinated (initial series) and annual Flu shot
History of working for dual-physician families preferred
Willingness to make a long-term commitment to the family
