About the Role: A family in Pittsford is seeking a reliable, communicative, and patient Part-Time Nanny/Family Assistant to care for their children and provide light household support. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with children of various ages, including infants, and is passionate about creating a nurturing and structured environment. The ideal candidate will be organized, collaborative, and able to engage the children in both creative and physical activities. Key Responsibilities: Childcare: - Walk the 3-year-old daughter to preschool across the street, pick her up at noon, provide lunch, and put her down for a nap. - Pick up the Kindergarten-aged son from school, assist with homework, and provide after-school care. - Provide care for a new baby arriving in the Fall, including supporting breastfeeding and naps in coordination with the mother. Household Support: - Prepare lunches and after-school snacks. - Perform light housekeeping related to meal prep and tidying up after the children. - Encourage the children to participate in household chores to foster independence. - Manage any down-time between school hours and nap-time with light housework or child-related tasks. - Driving: Be available to drive the children to and from activities if needed, particularly in bad weather. - Flexibility: Occasionally assist with morning appointments or extend hours as needed.
