About the job
We are travelling to NYC to see some plays. Our 16-year-old son has autism. We need someone to accompany him to Alladin Thurs night and Lion King Sat matinee. We will be in the general area. We just need help Thurs night and Sat afternoon. Our son does not have the maturity to go to a show by himself. He cannot be on NYC streets alone. We will supply tickets and pay for meal before show. He understands and adheres to basic restaurant and show etiquette. He may want to go to stage door after show. It would be a plus to have someone used to dealing with teens with autism. ABA training would be a real plus. He really likes to see shows and we expect he will be in a good mood and well-behaved. He does have occasional outbursts, but we think that under these circumstances the probability of an outburst is extremely low.
