A wonderful family on the Upper East Side is looking for a full-time, long-term nanny to care for their three children (ages 7, 6, and 2). They are hoping to find a warm, energetic, and proactive addition to their home. The family also has an au pair and a housekeeper (twice per week), so this role will focus primarily on childcare and child-related tasks. Schedule & Start Date: -Monday-Friday, 9:30 AM-6/6:30/7 p.m. (approx. 45-50 hours per week) -Start date: ASAP -Travel required: The family spends all of July and August in Martha's Vineyard, and the nanny will join them. Responsibilities: -Engage children in reading, homework help, and social-emotional development -Provide a balance of loving care and firm guidance, adjusting to each child's needs -Supervise swimming (strong swimming skills not required, just confidence in supervising and jumping in in case of emergency) -Prepare simple meals for the children (pasta, rice, chicken, vegetables) -Keep common areas tidy and do children's laundry/ironing (housekeeper handles other laundry) -Ensure a clean and organized environment -Accompany children to doctor's appointments -Travel domestically and internationally when needed (though not required for every trip) Ideal Candidate: -Proactive, patient, and hardworking with a strong work ethic -Understands how to communicate with children in a respectful, mature manner -Fluent in English with proper grammar -Comfortable in a structured and tidy household -College-educated (preferred, but not required) -Able to drive (family travels to Martha's Vineyard, where driving is necessary) Compensation & Benefits: -$35-40 per hour -Paid on the books This is a fantastic opportunity for a nanny looking to become part of a loving, well-organized household with a long-term commitment.
