A family in Tribeca is seeking a part-time afternoon nanny to help care for their two children, a 5. 5-year-old daughter and a 1-year-old son. The ideal schedule is 3:30-6:30 p.m. Monday-Friday but the family can guarantee 20 hours per week if the candidate is open to stay late for date nights. If a candidate would like extra hours and are open to working a few weekend hours and/or doing an overnight 1-2 nights a month when one of the parents travel then they can offer more hours as well. The family values someone who is organized, reliable, nurturing, respectful, and able to work independently while also following directions. This nanny will be working alongside the family's full-time nanny.
Responsibilities include assisting with pickups, providing care for the children, and managing light household tasks such as unloading the dishwasher. While cooking for the family is not a primary responsibility, the ability to prepare meals occasionally is a plus. The family may also require the nanny to assist with errands and maintain a structured and organized household routine.
The family is looking for someone who is comfortable navigating the city for school pickups and other errands. Swimming is not required but is a bonus, and while driving is appreciated, it is not a dealbreaker. Summers will follow a similar schedule, and the family does not have pets. All candidates must be comfortable with being paid on the books and they can provide a metrocard.
