We are travelling to NYC to see some plays. Our 16-year-old son has autism and won't make it through the plays will see Friday and Saturday night. Our son is verbal and can handle basic self-care, but does not have the maturity to stay in the hotel by himself. Our son loves the Lion King and some other broadway shows. So, what are probably looking for is a companion to go with him to dinner and a kid-friendly broadway show at our expense. He understands and adheres to basic restaurant and show etiquette. If a show gets borrowing to him, he will ask to leave at intermission. While on some level, he needs a companion more than a "baby sitter", it would be a plus to have someone used to dealing with teens with autism. ABA training would be a real plus. We would buy broadway tickets and pay for dinner.
