A loving family on the Upper East Side is seeking a reliable, engaging part-time nanny to provide structured after-school support for their two daughters, ages 7 and 9. The role includes managing school pickups, supervising after-school activities, assisting with homework, and preparing simple dinners for the children. The family is looking for a warm, responsible caregiver with experience in fast-paced environments, and who can form a long-term connection with their daughters. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 2-7 pm, and this person should be flexible to occasionally stay late for date nights or events, around once or twice a week. At 2pm, the nanny will arrive at their apartment, do some light housekeeping, and pick the kids up from school at 3 p.m. and assist with any after school activities, homework, etc. The ideal candidate will work well with both the mother, who is a stay-at-home-mom, and her personal assistant to ensure their daughters' routines run smoothly. This role requires a proactive personality and someone who's communicative and can connect well with both children, balancing interactive play and encouraging independence. Light housekeeping related to the children, such as tidying the kitchen and maintaining organized spaces, is expected, as well as comfort in handling a nut allergy (the family will train on EpiPen use). Additionally, it's a huge plus if this nanny can join them in Montauk for the month of August, but not required. This position starts ASAP.
