Start: ASAP Age(s) of Child(ren): 5-year-old - girl Schedule: Monday - Friday 12pm - 6:30pm Required: Nanny with housekeeper experience preferably 5 years (deep cleaning and cooking) Description: Part-Time Nanny/Housekeeper Needed on the Upper East Side A warm and loving family of three is seeking a gentle and caring part-time nanny/housekeeper to look after their 5-year-old daughter. This long-term role involves providing attentive and nurturing care to ensure the child's safety and well-being. Key responsibilities include typical nanny duties such as school pick-up, organizing activities, scheduling playdates, grocery shopping, cooking healthy meals, and making her school lunch for the next day. While the child is at school, the nanny will transition to housekeeping duties. These include deep cleaning the home, managing the family's laundry, occasional cooking, tidying up and running errands. The family is eager to find the perfect fit and start as soon as possible. They are looking for someone who is warm, friendly, creative, responsible, flexible, and ready to become part of their family. Ideal Nanny/Housekeeper The perfect candidate will blend professionalism with warmth and reliability, possessing a genuine passion for childcare and attention to detail in the home. Demonstrating patience, creativity, and enthusiasm, they will be adept at engaging with a school-aged child. With at least 5 years of professional experience, they should be knowledgeable about developmental milestones and capable of planning activities that foster learning and growth. While the child is in school, they will help maintain a clean and organized home, as well as run errands. The candidate should have a flexible schedule and be ready to start immediately, holding a valid First Aid/CPR certification. Prioritizing safety, they must be prepared for emergencies efficiently. Their references should highlight a history of dependable, compassionate care, and their background check must be spotless. As a non-smoker with reliable transportation and a clean driving record, they will demonstrate dependability. Flexibility is essential, as is adaptability to changing schedules, with a long-term commitment to the family. Bonus- Flexibility to work full days when their daughter is out of school Position Requirements Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional childcare experience, and housekeeping experience. Certification: Valid First Aid/CPR certification for infants and children. References: Strong references from past employers. Background Check: Must pass a clear background check. Communication: Excellent English communication skills. Age Group Experience: Experience with school-aged children. Activity Planning: Ability to plan and engage in suitable activities. Housekeeping: Willingness to undertake family-related housekeeping. Non-Smoker: Must not smoke. Transportation: Reliable transportation is necessary. Flexibility: Must be flexible with hours and available for occasional full days. Commitment: Long-term commitment is required.
