My wife and I have had numerous au pairs for our two boys for the past 7 years. Our oldest son is now 16 years old and pretty self-sufficient. Our 10-year-old son has special needs (rare genetic syndrome), and as he's now progressing with most skills, we are moving away from live-in help. He is now potty trained and can talk with a limited vocabulary while also being able to feed himself. He is incredibly sweet (not aggressive) and fun to play and interact with. He has a great personality and is genuinely a joy to be around.
