Our baby is 12 weeks old so we want to ensure we find a caregiver who's experienced with caring for and soothing newborns. One example is that he still needs to be swaddled every time he goes to sleep. The caregiver will also need to be familiar with age-appropriate play and stimulation for this age. As first time parents, we hope to learn from the experience and wisdom of whoever we hire. Also, since we're both at home, this role is to support us in the afternoons, rather than be a sole caregiver during those hours.
