Job Code: 8811 We adore this long-time Smart Family! This two-mom household is looking for a new Smart Sitter to join their team for part-time, afterschool support. And it really is a team effort with this family! The moms are separated but work closely together co-parenting their two boys, 4 and 7. They live within walking distance of each other, and of the boys' school. Your role will be providing a point of consistency for the boys between the two households, and partnering with mom in each home to make the dinner / bath / bedtime routine a two-adult team effort. For example, you might clean up post-dinner while mom does bath time, and then you'll hop in to do their bedtime reading before lights-out. This family has done really well in the past with grounded, down-to-earth sitters who are ready to take initiative and jump right in. Someone who loves being active, who isn't afraid to play tag or basketball, or hang out at the playground for hours would be a great fit! The boys will do great with someone who lets them get all of their imaginative and physical energy out in a big way, but then is comfortable redirecting and focusing them with structure and loving boundaries. The family is offering $30-35/hour and can guarantee 16 hours per week. They will also offer accrued paid sick time, and a monthly MetroCard.
