Looking For Experienced Part-time Nanny For Toddler In Midwood

Looking for a nanny for our daughter L (who is turning 1 in October), starting mid-October. Ideally Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 11am-5 p.m. but open to alternative days/times to accommodate an exceptional candidate. The building has its own indoor and outdoor playroom for toddlers, its own playground and park. You would mostly be in our apartment and elsewhere in the building with L. I work from home so I'll be around to lend a hand when needed. We also have two very friendly cats. Nanny responsibilities include: - keeping L happy and entertained with age appropriate activities - ensuring her safety and supervision at all times - changing diapers - light meal prep & feeding her every 2-4 hours - doing physical therapy exercises with her as shown (she has a developmental delay due to being born prematurely) - keeping her toys and other items organized and sanitized - ensuring she gets at least 1 hour of outdoor time daily (weather permitting) - ensure she gets 1-2 naps during the day - (optional) administer medication as instructed - (optional) washing her laundry (washer/dryer in the apartment) - (optional) basic grooming like trimming her nails, brushing her hair/teeth, bathing - (optional) light household duties eg tidying up the kitchen while she's napping The ideal candidate will have the following qualities: - at least 2 years of experience with toddlers or infants with excellent references - loving, passionate and excited about childcare; great attitude that rubs off on the kids in your care - strong communicator - proactive eg in coming up with developmental activities/games - well organized and tidy eg able to keep play area tidy at the end of the day - additional languages, especially Russian and German, a nice to have bonus but not mandatory - CPR/first aid trained preferred - very reliable and responsible eg no last minute call-offs, not late to work, not leaving the kids unsupervised Looking forward to reviewing your application Julia
