My son is a huge fan of kids shows. He has a strong interest in learning the alphabet and numbers. He needs to be picked up from school at 2:30 p.m. When he gets home, he has his home lunch (which we prepare the day before) and a honey bun or a light snack (like apple slices or any other fruit). He has homework from school every day. He doesn't have any trouble doing the math on his own, but he needs help with his reading comprehension.
