My husband and I are looking for an experienced, part-time nanny to care for my daughter once her father and I return to work (March, 2025). I work from home, so I will be very much accessible and available for her needs, as needed, but will need assistance watching and caring for her during business works on days her is also working (2-3 days per week). The ideal candidate/caregiver will have vast experience caring for infants, is CPR certified, is a non-smoker, is comfortable with large dogs (we have 2) and has reliable transportation. As new parents, we would like to ensure that our child is well loved and cared for. A key part of this is ensuring that her caregiver is gentle, patient and kind with her at all times. As first time parents, we are eager to ensure that our child has access to appropriate stimulation and learning tools for her age. Early education and teaching our child how to communicate with us is very important, so we'd like to prioritize an environment of learning, when she is ready, I.e. sensory engagement, mobility, reading books, learning to sign (ASL), etc. We are looking for someone to assist with feedings, nap time, age appropriate activities for infants including tummy time, rolling over, sitting up, etc. Would appreciate every basic and light housekeeping including laundry and occasional dishes, as needed. Key characteristics and skills we value in a caregiver: Accountability - this person should be accountable for the health and wellbeing of my child when she is under their care. Honesty - this person will be honest and transparent, even in uncomfortable or difficult situations. Flexibility - this person will be flexible with a rotating and/or changing schedule, as my husband's work schedule will determine the days and hours we need child care and this may care monthly or even weekly. Creativity - this person will be creative in how they engage and interact with our daughter and cater to her individual needs. Responsible - this person will be responsible for themselves and my child and will have vast experience looking after young children. We live in a relatively quiet neighborhood and have sufficient and safe parking space in our driveway or on the roadside. We have 2, large (75 lb), female doodle mixes. They are both incredibly friendly and loving dogs and do well meeting new people. The youngest is a lot more vocal and energetic than the older one, but they are both very kind and loving!
