1. Meets in assigned class in the location and at the time designated. Knows own daily and weekly schedule and is consistently present at appropriate time and place.
2. Attends to routine class record keeping, such as attendance, food entries, toileting entries, activity entries, etc.
3. Supervises and interacts with children during structured play and all other activities, as directed by the teacher.
4. Sets up room for the day, under the direction of the teacher. Keeps the room clean and orderly. Checks bathroom before and after each child and sanitizes if needed, keeps in order, and reports any repairs needed to the office.
5. Allows the teacher to lead in all decisions regarding scheduling, activities, the handling of children and parent relations. Supports decisions of teacher and school administration. Refers questions from parents regarding children's progress or behavior to the teacher. Follows and encourages parents to follow chain or command as stated in Parent's Manual. Reports to teacher any unusual circumstances noted regarding children or facility.
6. Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facility. Is responsible for personal safety and well-being of students during school hours.
7. Assists with diaper changing or toileting of children, follows sound health practices as listed in Health and Medical Policies and Procedures.
8. Sets up morning snack and brings to classroom. Cleans tables and floor area after snack and lunch meal.
9. Attends special school functions as stated in contract.
10. Smiles and greets children and parents warmly.
11. Works toward professional growth and training. Follows suggestions which are directed toward professional improvement and growth.
12. Works to establish and maintain open lines of communication with other staff and administration. Maintains positive attitude and works toward speedy resolution of conflicts/problems, should they arise.
13. Fulfills teacher responsibilities to classroom when teacher is absent, if requested.
14. Be a Christian role model in attitude speech and actions towards others
15. Must be physically able to perform duties required in a preschool environment, i. e. bend, sit on floor, lift children up to 45 lbs, change diapers.
16. Carries out any other specific duties as assigned by lead teacher and or administrative staff.
