About the job
Our child is 16 years old weighs about 230lbs, and is nonverbal autistic. He goes to school, receives ABA therapy Monday to Friday. He attends Art and social skills group activity twice on Monday and Thursdays. We would like for him to go out and do different activities during the weekend. He gets bored and regress while not in school. He does not want or allows parents or siblings to do things with him. Ideally, we would like him to start going out into the community and feel comfortable as sometimes he gets sensitive with all the sensory overload in the outside world. He likes videos and communicates with an AAC device. He enjoys brushing hair on people and toys. We tried several sports in the past to no avail, as his attention span is very limited. During the week he has a structure schedule. Weekends he gets up, and watches videos.
