Infant-Toddler Teacher

Key Responsibilities Childcare and Development Provide responsive care to infants and toddlers by meeting their individual needs for feeding, diapering, and rest. Design and implement age-appropriate activities that encourage exploration, growth, and learning. Observe and document developmental milestones, communicating progress with families. Classroom Environment Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming classroom environment. Organize materials and activities to foster curiosity and engagement. Ensure all toys and equipment are sanitized and in good condition. Health and Safety Follow all health, safety, and licensing regulations. Conduct daily health checks and monitor children for signs of illness or injury. Implement safe practices during feeding, diapering, and play. Parent Communication Build strong relationships with families through open, ongoing communication. Share daily updates, including activities, meals, and developmental progress. Collaborate with parents to establish consistent routines and address individual needs. Team Collaboration Work collaboratively with fellow teachers to plan and implement curriculum. Support team members by sharing ideas and offering assistance as needed. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in early childhood education. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (required). CDA (Child Development Associate) certification in Infant-Toddler Care or higher education in Early Childhood Education (preferred). Experience working with infants and toddlers in a licensed childcare setting (preferred). CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
