A Mendham, NJ family is seeking a warm, patient, and reliable live-in nanny to care for their two children, ages 3 years and 1 year old. The ideal candidate will be experienced, proactive, and nurturing, ensuring a structured and engaging environment for the children while also providing household support.
Schedule:
-5 or 6 days on, 1-2 days off
-7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
-Some flexibility required
Childcare Duties:
-Provide attentive and nurturing care, ensuring the children's safety and well-being
-Establish a structured daily routine, including meals, naps, and educational activities
-Engage in educational and developmental activities such as reading, arts and crafts, sensory play, and outdoor activities
-Manage diaper changes, potty training, and general hygiene care
-Assist with evening routines including bath time, story time, and bedtime preparation
-Ensure consistency in parenting approaches and discipline in collaboration with the parents
-Safely transport children to school, activities, and playdates
-Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the children
Household Support:
-Maintain cleanliness and organization of children's areas
-Manage children's laundry and wardrobe organization
-Assist with light household tasks, including loading/unloading the dishwasher, tidying common areas, and grocery shopping
-Organizing and restocking pantry and refrigerator as needed
Family Dynamics:
-The oldest child attends school Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM
-The youngest child is at home, not in school.
-The mother is currently a stay-at-home mom transitioning back to work
-The father has a demanding work schedule
-The family has a friendly 140-lb. dog (french mastiff), so candidates must be comfortable around pets
Qualifications & Requirements:
-Minimum of 5 years of professional nanny experience
-CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
-Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
-Valid passport with the ability to travel internationally, if needed.
-Fluent in English, with strong communication skills
-Active, able to keep up with young children and engage in outdoor play
-Capable of lifting small children when necessary
-Must be highly organized, responsible, and adaptable to a family's changing needs
-Trustworthy, professional, and discreet regarding family privacy
-Warm, patient, and nurturing while maintaining discipline and structure
Additional Preferences:
-Experience caring for multiple children or working in a structured household
-Prior experience in a live-in nanny, household manager, or au pair role
-Willingness to travel with the family if needed
Compensation & Benefits:
-Private on-property apartment with a washer/dryer and kitchen

Additional Information:
-No additional pets are allowed in the home- candidates will not be able to move their own pets into the property
