A warm and calm family in Jersey City, NJ, is seeking a reliable, engaging, and nurturing full time nanny to join their household starting May 1st. This is a long-term role, perfect for someone who loves working with infants and is comfortable providing flexible support to new parents. Their child is 3 months old. Schedule: -Full-time position, typically 50 hours per week. The general schedule will be Monday through Friday, from 7:30AM to 7:30PM. Occasional flexibility for evenings, weekends, and travel may be requested with advance notice. Compensation: -$25-$35/hour on payroll, commensurate with experience and qualifications -Paid time off (sick days) Key Responsibilities: -Provide attentive and engaging care for the infant, including feeding (bottle-feeding and introducing solids as directed), diapering, bathing, and dressing. -Maintain consistent sleep schedules and routines. -Plan and engage in age-appropriate developmental activities, including reading, singing, playing, sensory play, and spending time outdoors (weather permitting) to foster milestones. -Actively avoid screen time for the infant, focusing instead on interactive play and other developmentally appropriate activities. -Monitor and record the infant's daily activities, such as feeding, sleeping, and developmental milestones, and communicate these regularly with parents. -Prepare bottles and meals for the infant and clean up related dishes and feeding areas, inclusive of sanitizing. -Perform housekeeping duties, including tidying the nursery and play areas, and washing the baby's laundry. -Transport the infant to appointments or activities as needed (if applicable and agreed upon). -Communicate openly and effectively with parents regarding the infant's needs, progress, and any concerns. -Ensure the infant's safety at all times, actively supervising during playtime and ensuring the environment is childproofed. -Maintain a clean and organized environment for the infant. -Adhere to the family's established routines, values, and parenting style. Driving and Travel: -Valid driver's license and a clean driving record -Reliable transportation to/from Hudson County (or Essex County) -Nanny should be open to domestic and international travel with the family. Other Considerations: -Fluency in French or Haitian Creole is a plus but not required. -Comfortable around their 25 lb. French Bulldog (no pet care required). -Ability to swim is ideal (there is a pool in the building).
