We're looking for someone who can help out on a regular basis and watch our two kids on their own or, sometimes, as a support to one of the parents. Cleaning/housekeeping is not necessary however, you would be expected to clean/straighten any messes made during your shift (dishes, toys played with, etc). Responsibilities may include coming up with fun activities for the kids to do (games, crafts etc), making simple meals, helping with homework, completing the bedtime routine and getting them to sleep, and possibly school pickup and transporting them to extracurriculars. Schedule is somewhat flexible however we are looking for someone who could - help on days off from school, - commit to 2 Friday or Saturday evenings each month and - do an occasional overnight, full weekend, or go on vacation with us at some point in the future. We have two active little girls ages 3 and 6. They are in school Monday through Friday from 8-2:45 p.m. They love arts and crafts, games, imaginative play, and playing outside. Right now we're working on listening the first time and recognizing and managing their emotions in helpful ways. We want someone who values honesty, communication, organization and accountability. Experience with childcare is a must and you must be CPR/First Aid trained /certified. Our girls are very headstrong so it is essential that our helper know how to develop rapport, engage playfully, and redirect/de-escalate effectively. We have a 12 y/o non-aggressive husky.
