Well established, private preschool looking for a fun and energetic assistant to join our 3's program! Assistants are responsible for supporting teaching staff and children through play, positive reinforcement, joining in during circle times, cleaning, lunch/nap set up, and sharing ideas for age-appropriate activities or crafts. All teachers and assistants are responsible for ensuring safety both in the classroom and on the playground, tracking the number of children, providing support during toileting/hand washing, effectively communicating with fellow staff and parents, and assessing progress. We work as a team with both 3's classes so flexibility is a plus! Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities. We are a group of dedicated teachers and professionals who continually work as a team to provide the best care possible for each of our students. If you love working with children, want to continue to learn as well, and believe in meeting each family where they are at on their learning journey we would love to hear from you!! We currently have staff in place, and are in no rush to fill a position. We will only hire the right fit for this classroom and our school, and allow for ample time to train with our current staff. We are can be flexible with schedules for parents or college students. Requirements: -Availability M-F (8am-3 p.m. OR 8am-1 p.m. *can be flexible for the right candidate) -Previous experience with children aged 2-5 years old. -Staff is required to carry their own health insurance - we do NOT provide health insurance -Degree in Early Childhood or related field (or some degree in process) preferred. -Knowledge of ECE best practices -Experience working with neurodiverse children and/or an openness to accept, love, and work with many times undiagnosed neurodiverse children -Patience, creativity, and passion for working with children -We typically start our staff between $16-$20 depending on experience
