I have 3 children. 16, 13, o The 16 and 13-year-old are low functioning. They can care for themselves as far as getting ready for bed and doing what they are told to do but would not be able to be trusted home alone to make decisions and care for their younger sister. They would not be able to react quickly in an emergency so I would not feel comfortable leaving them alone. We really just need someone to hang out with them while we have a night out.
