About the job
I am seeking a compassionate and experienced caregiver for my 14-year-old son, who is nonverbal and has autism. He also has epilepsy, and his seizures occur weekly. A qualified candidate must be CPR certified and able to follow a seizure action plan to ensure his safety during seizures. In addition to epilepsy, my son may experience aggressive outbursts, which vary based on factors like medication changes and environmental influences. Patience, understanding, and flexibility are key qualities for success in this role. Most assistance is needed during school breaks and Saturdays for about four-hour increments.
