Caregiver For Adult With Downs & Autism

While our son's therapist recovers from surgery, Jonathan will need supervised care from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday for three weeks. His Autism Society therapist will take over at 1:30 p.m. Most of his day is spent within the community--walking in parks, visiting favorite sites, shopping, attending movies/theater. His caregiver will help him with transitions to and from these scheduled activities as well as with communicating his wants and needs to service staff throughout his travels. Jonathan is cooperative and enjoys a peaceful atmosphere. Although this begins as temporary, we are looking for a longer term caregiver who will enjoy Jonathan's sense of humor, challenge him to expand his skills, and encourage him to socialize.
