Calling all flexible and dynamic career nannies with a love for multiples! If you consider yourself a newborn and toddler pro and would enjoy a position where things may be a bit different day to day, look no further. This Durham role includes two amazing families who are close friends and neighbors who cannot wait to meet you! This position will start in mid-February part-time with one infant who was born in October with the second baby joining in April. Both families include physician parents so a reliable, communicative, and dependable nanny is a must! Their ideal nanny would have previous experience with multiple children, be proactive and confident, and have a fun-loving personality. They hope for their little ones to spend their days engaging with a nanny who values planning age-appropriate developmental activities when time allows and helps them achieve milestones. Both families appreciate some structure and scheduling, yet also follow each baby's cues.
The family hosting the nanny share has two hypoallergenic dogs (Labradoodles) who may need to be let out in the yard or fed during the day. On a rare occasion, if the nanny share takes place at the other family's home, they also have two dogs (Golden Retrievers), but Dad works from home and can care for the dogs. Ultimately, they hope for a nanny who is comfortable with dogs and not allergic. Outside of caring for the babies, the families would hope for the nanny to keep things tidy such as washing bottles used during the day (when time allows), keeping each baby's items organized, and tidying up toys/play areas and kitchen after mealtimes.
There will be three phases to this role and they are hoping for a nanny who can commit to all the phases and be flexible. They are offering a higher hourly rate in the first 6 months while the hours are part-time to make up for the lack of full-time hours in the beginning. The schedule will be provided in advance and the families will offer a competitive one-child rate for any hours where the nanny cares for only one of the children.
