A warm and welcoming family of 4 in Durham is looking for a caring and dedicated nanny to join their family in February. They have two wonderful children-a curious and energetic 4-year-old and a sweet 3-month-old. Their oldest has taken quickly to the role of big brother and he loves to help take care of the baby. He loves building new train sets and magnatiles, playing games, reading books, and asking questions about pretty much everything. He currently attends half-day preschool, however, he will transition to full-time preschool in the Summer or early Fall. Their youngest is a fairly good sleeper at night however, they are still working on linking sleep cycles during naps. She is smiley and talkative and enjoys watching her brother and dog run around. The family hopes to find a nanny who is comfortable planning activities, is interactive with the children, and enjoys being very hands-on. If you are experienced in implementing early education, they would love for you to bring your knowledge, energy, and thoughtful guidance to their children's daily routine! A candidate who has experience juggling a preschooler and infant would be ideal! The family values open communication and welcomes collaboration. Your experience in helping to raise happy and healthy children will be celebrated!
Outside of childcare, they would greatly appreciate a nanny who is open to assisting with laundry, picking up groceries, cleaning up throughout the day with the help of the oldest child, and loading/unloading the dishwasher as able. The family truly hopes to find a candidate who would be open to a long-term commitment that could transition over to a household manager as their youngest enters preschool. A major bonus would be a willingness to travel with the family on vacations, however, that is not a must-have!
The typical work schedule will be Monday-Friday 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM, with slight flexibility for 9 AM - 5 PM. Both parents typically work from home in their dedicated office space. They have a cuddly dog who typically spends most of his day with the parents in their office.
