Are you looking for a delightful new way to start 2025? If so, this South Durham family is looking for an attentive, loving, kind, and playful nanny. This family of 4 lives in a wonderful community and neighborhood in a quiet cul-de-sac and is looking for a nanny to help bridge the gap until their little one enters daycare in September. They have two amazing children, a sweet and hilarious 3-year-old who attends daycare full time and an easy-going and sweet 10-month-old who will be home with the nanny. The oldest will rarely need care unless daycare has an unexpected closure or she is sick with something minor (think runny nose). This position will focus solely on providing care for their youngest who is still working on crawling (he is close) and loves sitting and playing with his toys. While he admittedly isn't the best sleeper or eater, he is curious, shy, sweet, and so much fun to be around. He has major FOMO and likes to be involved in whatever is going on and do things independently as much as possible. A nanny who is willing to give him his independence while also watching closely for safety hazards is the best match. He loves taking walks outdoors, reading books, and interactive games and music. The parents hope for a nanny who will help him meet developmental milestones and are open to outings to nearby museums, libraries, and parks once he is slightly older. Mom works from home two days a week and may pop in to breastfeed when she can, it's one of the best things about working from home so she hopes for a nanny who is comfortable with this dynamic.
In addition to providing attentive care for their little one, they would appreciate help when time allows with folding laundry, dishes, and picking up toys to keep the play areas tidy. Above all, they hope for a loving and kind human who will dote on their little one and he is the top priority. They would love an open communicator who will be collaborative and supportive and a vital part of their family!
The typical work hours will include Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 7:30 AM-5:30 PM and the family is willing to guarantee 30 weekly hours with a rate of $20- $24/ hour. They would greatly appreciate a nanny who is able to occasionally be flexible to shift the scheduled days. They anticipate the contract running from January (or February for an amazing fit) through September, but would also give ample notice if the daycare spot happens to open up sooner.
