He needs lots of direction & redirection to get through basic routines because he's extremely easily distracted and will try to pull you into whatever exciting thing has caught his attention. He needs caregivers who are firm but compassionate - he's not ignoring directions or being bad, he literally hasn't heard a repeated instruction or hasn't been able to turn instructions into action in a usual timeline.
