Application Link: https://nannybydesign.enginehire.io/application-form/61/517 Location: Durham, North Carolina, 27701 Start: August 20, 2024 Children: 2 & 5-Year-Old 1 Cat Compensation: $18-$22 per hour Schedule: Monday-Friday 12:00-5:00 p.m. Description: Family is looking for a nanny to help them for a few months while they are temporarily in Durham. Both kids will be in school during the mornings and nanny will pick them each up at their release time. The 2-year-old gets out at 1:00 p.m. and the 5-year-old at 2:15 p.m. or so. Nanny can walk to their schools as they are only a couple of blocks from where they are staying. Both kids are very active. They love the outdoors and riding their bikes and scooters. They also love magnatiles, books, imaginative play, and to help around the house with chores and things like that. They're very social and like interacting with other kids. They are looking for a nanny who is respectful to the kids and listens to their thoughts and feelings. They want someone who is able to set limits and keep them safe, allow them to express their emotions and needs, but can also provide structure and uphold expectations. They want someone who is engaging, encourages their curiosity, active, and outdoorsy. The nanny will assist with school pick up (driving when needed, but family prefers the nanny and kids to walk), nap time, snacks, going to the park and playground, assisting with laundry, and getting the kids involved in cleaning up. As parents they limit screen time. They are provided a space to calm down and work through emotions, and they allow them to feel their emotions and talk through their feelings. They encourage self-regulation and teach them respect, sharing, and how to communicate with each other.
