If you enjoy a mix of childcare and family assistant tasks, this family cannot wait to meet you! This dual physician family in Apex is looking for a household manager to join their family soon. Both parents work outside of the home and their son is 4 years old. While they do have grandparents in the home regularly as they value their child growing up with family nearby, the household manager/nanny will have full autonomy to plan activities and provide household support for the family throughout the day. Their 4 year old boy is pure joy, he attends pre-k during the school year and will spend more time with the nanny during school breaks and summers. A nanny who is excited to shift gears during the summer and when school is out to focus primarily on their son is ideal! During the school year, the household manager will be responsible for assisting with the morning routine including finishing breakfast, making sure he is dressed and ready for school, and driving him to school where he will be from 9 AM-3:30 PM most days. The family has a car the nanny is welcome to use for transporting the child to and from school. During school hours, the household manager will assist with a variety of household tasks including laundry for the family, meal prep (cutting up veggies, packing lunches, and helping prepare meals if open, but not required), running errands, unloading/loading the dishwasher, organizing the child's clothing and toys, and other light household tasks. The family also has a medium sized puppy who may need to be let out in the backyard from time to time. After school pickup, the nanny should be engaging, creative, and active with their son until parents are able to return home. The typical work hours will include 10 AM-6 PM on Mondays, and 8:30-4:30 Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. This position is available starting ASAP, and the family hopes for a household manager who is interested in staying with them long term.
