Our youngest son, 3, has Down syndrome and conditions requiring special care. He has infantile spasms (epilepsy) and takes medication three times daily. He also has hypotonia, which delays his motor skills; hes learning to stand, cant crawl, and needs to be fed soft foods. He receives daily occupational, physical, speech, and feeding therapy, and uses a stander for about an hour. A caregiver with a medical or nursing background would be ideal. Our other children homeschool using Khan Academy Kids and educational YouTube videos. They need tutoring in reading and math. Additional duties include meal prep and light housekeeping. Were looking for someone patient, experienced with special needs, and able to assist with therapies and learning.
