Rochester - G14385 Location: Rochester MN Schedule: Full Time: M-F, 7am-6pm, Sat 8am-12pm/Occasional Sundays Start: December 2024 Children: 1 child, age 2 years Salary: $22-$25/Hour We are looking for a full-time nanny to join our active, happy family as another adult team member. We both lead professional lives and thus we need help at home throughout various parts of the day caring for our two-year-old daughter. She speaks/understands Spanish and English, and we would love to have our new Nanny continue to build on the Spanish foundation, if possible. We are a busy, hard-working, and fun-loving family. We love travel and have spent much of our lives traveling the world. Both parents have lived and worked abroad at different points in their lives. We have deep experience working and living with individuals from all over the world and we pride ourselves on being global citizens who value diversity and learning about other cultures. We hope to raise our daughter in the same manner. We expect to continue to travel domestically and internationally and hope our nanny will also be able to come with us to share in these experiences. We expect to need help 5 to 6 days/week, on average. Our current daily routine looks a bit like this: Our typical weekday involves Mom leaving the house between 5:30a-6:30a. Our daughter is awake between 6:30-7:30a and often reads for about 30 minutes in the morning, then has breakfast. After breakfast, she has help getting changed and ready for the day. Her current nanny brings her out of the house to a variety of activities: the park, library, etc. and has lunch and usually by 2pm is ready for her nap from approximately 2-4:30pm. During naptime, we work to tidy the house, do laundry, other chores, etc. After naptime, there is more afternoon play until dinner around 6pm. Mom returns home between 4:30-6:30pm. Dad is often finishing his work around 5:30pm. We try to have dinner together as a family, and by 7pm are starting our daughter's bedtime routine: bath time, brushing teach, changing into pajamas, reading, milk, and bed by 7:30-8pm. When we are not working on the weekends, we enjoy planning an activity as a family to local museums, children's activity areas, and restaurants. We enjoy Minneapolis and make frequent trips there to take advantage of all there is to do. Mom travels approximately 3-4x/year for business travel. These trips are usually 3-5 days. Dad travels more frequently for business, often monthly. His trips are quite variable- as short as one night away, or as long as a week away. His longer trips average every 2-3 months. We have activities anywhere from 0-3 nights/week, depending on our work schedules. When we can, we enjoy dinners out as a family. Parents attempt to make time monthly for an evening out together as a couple. We also have occasional friends or coworkers who pass through town to visit or come to the house. We are looking for a nanny to join our happy, loving home as another adult team member. We frequently need help with our daughter in the mornings and during the day, and occasionally in the evenings. We would like for her caregivers to respect our parenting priorities and maintain consistency for our daughter surrounding her daily expectations and development. We would love for the nanny to be like an older sister or aunt to our daughter. As parents, we are always open to direct communication about any aspects of living in our home or caring for our daughter that can be improved. We would like for our parenting priorities to be respected and look to partner with our au pair to provide consistency for our little girl's routine.
