Our son has a very rare genetic condition called Angelman Syndrome, which causes him to be nonverbal and intellectually disabled but is he physically active and does not have other major medical issues. We have an au pair who helps us provide care, but we want to supplement that with another person. As a result, our schedule is somewhat flexible, but we are likely looking for about 15 hours of help a week. He loves to snuggle, watch shows, goof around, listen to music and get out of the house! Go to the beach, visit a playground, go swimming, etc. He can be more work than a neurotypical child, but he also rewards you for it with unmatched love and affection.
