Location: Otsego, MN Job Type: Full Time We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced nanny to provide dedicated care for our child with spina bifida. The ideal candidate will be patient, nurturing, and able to support our child's physical and emotional needs. This role includes assisting with daily activities, providing companionship, and helping our child attend weekly physical therapy sessions every Tuesday. Key Responsibilities: - Provide attentive and affectionate care for a child with spina bifida. - Assist with daily activities such as dressing, bathing, and personal hygiene. - Facilitate mobility and physical activities suitable for the child's needs. - Prepare and serve nutritious meals, accommodating any dietary restrictions. - Drive the child to and from physical therapy appointments every Tuesday. - Maintain a safe and engaging environment for the child, including playtime and educational activities. - Provide emotional support and encouragement to help build the child's confidence. - Communicate effectively with parents regarding the child’s progress and any concerns. Qualifications: - Previous experience as a nanny or caregiver, preferably with children who have special needs. - Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. - CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude. Schedule: - Full-time hours, with a commitment to attend weekly physical therapy sessions on Tuesdays. We can discuss having 1 day off a week where a family member will watch her, so you can have a day during the week for any personal appointments or commitments.
