About the job
I have a sweet, funny, creative, talkative, soon-to-be 7-year-old, Theo, who cannot access school. We seek a kind, flexible, patient, engaging caregiver 3-4 days per week to stay with him at home while I work. Some of my work will be from home, and some days I need to attend in-person meetings. This schedule can be very flexible, but we need care 1-3:30 on Tuesdays. Theo is autistic and pathological demand avoidant. This means his nervous system is activated into a fight or flight response whenever he feels overwhelmed or perceives he is losing his autonomy. Theo will learn from home this year after he recovers from being burned out by the demands of kindergarten. Theo loves gaming and parkour and is excited to learn to read and do more math.
