West Michigan Nannies is looking to hire a FT nanny for a friendly, aviation-loving family in Rockford excitedly expecting their first baby girl due this fall! Nanny will begin mid-January 2025 when baby is around 3-months old and should be comfortable around cats as two feline fur babies are also part of the family. Ideal match for this unique opportunity is someone that has a positive mindset, a learning mentality, is hard working, has strong communication skills, loves children and is passionate about taking on the very special role in the family to support baby girl's developmental milestones through incorporating age-appropriate play and activities. Family would love to find someone for the long term to help as their daughter, and family, grows. Responsibilities include all things infant care (feeding, washing bottles, soothing/rocking, diapering, bathing, naps, etc.), tidying up after self and baby, and helping to feed the cats as needed. Family is welcoming and is looking forward to developing a strong working relationship with their nanny(s).
Schedule is as follows: Mondays and Tuesdays are OFF. W: 6am-4pm, TH: 5am-3pm, F: 4am-2pm, and Sat: 4am-2 p.m. Nanny must be able to commit to at least 2-3 Saturdays/month. Or this could also be a great match for two nanny friends or a mother-daughter team to divvy up the schedule and cover one another for time off. For example, nanny A works 20 hours W-TH and nanny B works 20 hours FRI-SAT then switch. However, if the right fit has a lot of flexibility and enjoys their scheduled days off taking place during the week and can commit to working Saturdays, we are open to having a FT nanny as well. PT candidates may pair this position with another PT position with WMN if interested - ask for more info. Family has spare bedroom that is available to nanny (optional, not required) for shifts that start early or end late, or for those snowy winter days where the weather really impacts the commute. Excellent attendance, high reliability, and communicating time off well in advance is crucial for this position as parents have demanding work commitments and cannot miss work. This is a W-2 position with competitive hourly pay, direct deposit, guaranteed hours, and PTO.
