Hybrid: Part-time Babysitter (7 Year Old Son) & Part-time House Manager/assistant For Business Owner

T is a sweet, thoughtful, and caring 7-year-old little boy with an amazing sense of humor and a deep love for popsicles. He loves to do anything in the art world, especially writing and illustrating his own books right now. He will be playing soccer and lacrosse as well as sailing and swimming in the summer. He can't get enough of riding to playground on his scooter and hardly ever turns down a trip to the library. Although I may be biased, he is an amazing little human who is really fun to spend time with!! T was a Montessori kid up until this year (starting from when he was born), as well as being an only child, he is a pretty independent kid. He will need help making meals, coordinating playdates with his friends, finding activities, finding reading time, tidying his room, and a babysitter to be with him in the summer days while I am working. We practice a Montessori concept called "freedom within limits" which means the caregiver sets boundaries and then T is able to have autonomy and make his own decisions within that safe space. I am not super specific and picky, but I identify more with a gentle parenting approach with lots of play, openness, and the ability to be emotionally literate. In addition to child care, I am looking for this role to have a bit of a house manager/assistant component to me as well. T is only with me half the time, so the other half would be helping me with chores/errands/calendar etc. I own my own private chef and health coaching business so my work is flexible but the company is also in a growth phase so I am very busy. Lots of unique perks like food/skincare/creative events!! We live right in the middle of East Grand Rapids and have a garage, space in the driveway, and a dedicated spot for guests. There is also a bus stop right in front of of our house in case that's ever needed too. Our family includes a 1year old Bernese Mountain dog named Lillian. She is about 85lbs and has lots of energy. Luckily we have fully fenced in front and back yard for her to run around in freely.
