We are looking for someone to come to our house to watch our 12-year-old from 1 p.m. until most likely the next morning or very late at night when we get home. Medicine will NEED to be administered at 8 p.m. Meals will be prepped and activities will be planned ahead of time. Her bedtime is 9:30 p.m. She has been through the foster system her whole life and the sitter needs to be sensitive about her quirks that come with her background. Our child will push any boundaries given. She thinks that she knows best and will push to have what she thinks that is. She doesn't like to be told no. If she starts to get worked up and starts escalating, sending her to her room with the door cracked open and giving her whatever time she needs to stop screaming and to calm down is the best solution. If pushed while escalating, she may get physical with her caretaker, herself, or objects around her. The best thing to do is to try to leave her in her room with the door open so you can listen or peek inside if it gets too quiet. This is just a possibility and a cautionary warning. It is only one night and likely she will go along with planned activities and be ready for her 930 bedtime They love arts and crafts, fashion, makeup, drawing, coloring, building with legos, and Disney movies. Experience preferred but not needed, just need someone who has understanding & compassion for mentally & behaviorally impaired children. There is lots of room to park We have a pit bull mix at home with us. Her name is "Puppy". She is a medium size dog, crate trained & potty trained. She is very energetic but not aggressive at all. She wants all of the attention and cuddles. We will ask for her to be fed around 6 p.m. But that will be prepped as well.
