West Michigan Nannies is looking for an experienced, energetic nanny for a family with two children, 3-years-old and 5-months-old, beginning ASAP! Schedule is 7:30-3:30 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays and 9:00-5:00 on Thursdays for a total of 40 hours per week. We are open to one FT nanny, or two PT nannies who would share the schedule. Family requires nanny(s) that is COVID-vaccinated and is able to make a minimum one-year commitment. They expressed how neat it would be to find someone that in addition to English, also speaks Vietnamese or Tagalog, but this is certainly not required. Ideal candidate has a background in childcare and has knowledge of the Montessori approach with a willingness to take on this approach with their children. It is most important to the family that nanny loves children, is a strong communicator, can confidently handle both the toddler and infant stages well, and enjoys having fun with the children through activities and play and embraces their developmental milestones. We are looking for a kind and patient individual who is naturally proactive and a strong multitasker with the ability to anticipate needs and manage the daily routine with the kids. The oldest has a peanut allergy and is on a daily oral immunotherapy care plan that involves a daily smoothie and it is important that nanny is mindful of child's food consumption as directed by parents. The oldest attends preschool two mornings/week but nothing is required of nanny for this at this time. Family describes their personality as friendly and close-knit with a parenting approach centered around creating a loving family environment to encourage independence and curiosity while enforcing reasonable boundaries and safety. Nanny will be responsible for all things childcare as well as cleaning dishes that you use and loading/emptying dishwasher, children's laundry, and picking up after self/kids. Arts & crafts, reading, pretend play and creative activities are highly encouraged and enjoyed in this household!
