Family in Birmingham looking for a part time nanny to start ASAP. Family has an 11-year-old boy and a 12-year-old girl. Hours are Monday - Thursday and possibly Friday - 3:30-5:30 p.m. - Predominantly need after school care. Weekend babysitting would be offered as well. On school half days more hours would be available - noon -5. Special needs experience/ Training would be a plus! The son is ADHD and recently diagnosed with dyslexia and level 1 autism. He is making great progress and yet have emotional, sometimes physical outburst at times. They are working with a behavioral therapist and have adopted a consistent plan/program for working with their son. This program includes regular schedules, gentle but firm guidance, and a behavioral approach to his care. Must be comfortable with pets, family has a dog and 2 cats. Pay is $25/hr.
