Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and experienced Lead Infant Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for working with infants, a strong understanding of child development, and the ability to create a warm, responsive environment that supports the growth and well-being of each child.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans tailored to infants' needs
Foster a nurturing and safe classroom environment
Observe, assess, and document infants' developmental milestones
Communicate effectively with parents, providing regular updates on their child's progress
Collaborate with team members to maintain a cohesive and supportive environment
Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations and Pollywogs' policies
Qualifications:
CDA (Child Development Associate) credential or willingness to obtain within the first year
MELDS (Maine Early Learning and Development Standards) training or willingness to complete
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working with infants in a licensed childcare setting
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
