About Us: Pollywogs Childcare Center is a licensed, high-quality childcare facility dedicated to fostering the growth and development of young children in a nurturing and engaging environment. Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and dedicated Lead Preschool Educator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum, leading classroom activities, and providing a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for young learners. Key Responsibilities: - Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that support the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of preschool children. - Lead and supervise classroom activities, ensuring a positive learning environment. - Foster strong relationships with children, families, and staff to create a supportive community. - Observe and document children's progress, providing regular updates to parents and center leadership. - Maintain compliance with state licensing regulations and Pollywogs' policies. - Mentor and support assistant teachers, fostering professional growth within the team. - Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational program. Qualifications: - Associate or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred. - Current CDA credential or willingness to obtain within the first year of employment. - MELDS certification or commitment to complete within the first year. - Minimum of 2 years of experience in a preschool setting, with leadership experience preferred. - Strong knowledge of child development and early childhood education best practices. - CPR and First Aid certified (or willingness to obtain upon hire). - Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators and families.
