Looking for a nanny for a young child with autism. I would prefer someone who has experience with special needs and/or social work. I need help for possibly a few hours a day (flexible) so that I can get things done while my child is on a waitlist for a local school program geared towards children with special needs. There might be the need to help with a meal/snack which requires direct supervision and CPR certification is a must. Unique need would be someone who feels comfortable meeting and accompanying the child to an activity like the Childrens Museum for no more than 2 hours with out of state parent. This parent has not taken an interest in learning about the child's unique needs and the nanny would facilitate a familiar adult during visits to ease anxiety. The CPR/First Aid Cert would alleviate safety concerns during visit.
