About the job
I have a beautiful baby boy with Down syndrome. He is a very sweet and happy baby. Currently, he is fed fortified breast milk through a G-tube. I can show you how to use the pump - its not complicated. We are working to teach him oral feeding skills though! He had heart surgery on April 2nd and it was successful! He is doing really well, feels good, and smiles and laughs. We have some wiggle room on morning start times and afternoon or evening end times. I anticipate care for 6-8 hours per day. During the day, you would provide 2-3 tube feeds. Between feeds, I let him play on the play mat and work with him on sitting up. After sternal precautions are over in a few weeks, we can work more on tummy time and crawling. I may be his mama but he really is a joy to be with! I want someone who is organized and who will give him lots of love.
