We have three children, ages 3. 5 and 6. Our oldest will be at school most of the day and comes home at 2:50 p.m. The youngest will be at home. The mother works fully remotely, so she will be in the home the entire day, so she will be available occasionally. We are a family that tries to avoid screen time in favor of real world experiences and human interaction. Learning real skills and helping out with tasks around the house is important. For example, if a child spills a drink or makes a mess, we expect them to clean up after themselves. The youngest two love to paint and color, have fun building with Legos, and other imaginative play. They enjoy having books read to them. The oldest is in school, but will occasionally need care on days off, and once school ends during summer.
